Cory first had the idea for a podcast in early 2019 as a possible creative and therapeutic outlet. In early 2020, he interviewed his client and friend, Jamie Dove, for the podcast, and the rest is history.
Cory is the founding President of T. C. Lewis & Co. - guiding the firm from inception to being named by Inc. magazine to #128 on its list of the Fastest Growing Privately Held Companies in America (#7 in Real Estate and #2 in Tennessee) and highlighted in Financial Times as one of The Americas' Fastest Growing Companies 2020, coming in at #36, alongside publicly traded powerhouses Tesla, Uber, Netflix, and PayPal. He serves as a Partner in TopCat Markets, Inc. convenience stores, a founding Partner in TC's Pro Hardware & Outfitter Company, and Chief Investment Officer of Lewis Oil Company, Inc.
He is an expert in growth and business expansion having led multiple companies across different industries to significant growth - one company by +3000% over three years, and another by +400% over three years. His strategies have been highlighted by Inc. magazine, Entrepreneur, and the Financial Times.
And, he has negotiated lasting business relationships with national wholesalers and retail brands, including: ExxonMobil, Valero, Budweiser, Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, ProHardware, Lowe's, BassPro/Cabela's, Costa Del Mar, Big Rock Outdoor, Amcon Distributing, H. T. Hackney, etc.
Cory also served as founding Chariman of the Northeast Tennessee Green Building Council, Co-founder of the Young Professionals Tri-Cities (YPTri) non-profit organization, is a distinguished member of the International High IQ Society, and serves on numerous boards and committees (both professionally and community-related) throughout the Appalachian region.
Prior to founding T. C. Lewis & Co., Cory had an eclectic background of work, including serving as the AD for the Toronto Blue Jays Spring Training and Florida Operations. He also had stints working as a line cook, at a marina, at gas stations, and in mall retail.
Cory holds a BBA, an MBA, and real estate broker licensing in multiple states. He has been published in numerous business and industry-related publications locally, regionally, and nationally. And he has received a number of awards including Builder of the Year, named one of the 10 best brokers in Tennessee, named to Business Journal magazine's Top 40 Under Forty, Distinguished Alumni, Community Supporter of the Year, multiple Builder/Architect magazine cover-stories, named Mountain South magazine Sexy Successful Single, Tennessee Small Business Excellence Award, etc.
